Today I nervously inserted my first pack of PX100 into my SX-70. I was handling it so delicately- my hands were almost shaking. To those of you who don't share my enthusiasm for Polaroid film and Polaroid photography in general, you may not understand. But I know that there are those of you who DO share my enthusiasm, and you know exactly how I felt. I chose my location- indoors- it was a bit breezy and cool outside this morning, and I was afraid the film wouldn't react well to the temperature. I Composed the shot. I held steady- and held my breath- and fired.
I immediately turned my photo over, and shielded it from the light. I waited 7 minutes. I nervously turned the photo over. There it was! Amazing silvery tones and little white anomalies. Perfect. I am impressed. I will buy more.

it sounds like an amazing thing! the polaroid is beautiful:)
Lovely shot! I'm thrilled about the new film. I also tried out my first pack yesterday - sadly, it had a faulty battery and I only got one shot to fire correctly, but the one I got is gorgeous (IP is sending a replacement for my pack; their customer service is amazing). Looking at other people's photos, I was a little confused about the "silver shade" designation - all I could see was sepia. In person, however, my shot is extremely metallic. I'm in love!
Oh I'm so envious, I finally made it to the store and it's all sold out! I still have some old 600 film that expired in November 09, and I tried some out yesterday and it all worked quite well! Such a relief!

i am so aching to buy an sx-70. and your go of it has inspired me even more. time to save up. : )
so lovely! love your images!
It amazes me how wonderful the color is one these photos. After all these years I would not think that technology sometimes detracts from the photo. Polaroids rock!
Beautiful shot!
Ahh I didn't even see this post and had no idea you bought this! I blogged about this on the 15th.. I didn't know the film was out so much earlier. Weird!
Anyways, I'm so jealous. I wanted to buy some but the shipping to Canada is $50.
There's always problems with Canada.
Anyways, it's a really nice photo. Can't wait to try that someday. :)
Dori.
Very nice. Very impressed. I have zero luck with mine.
