I want to hang art in the kitchen.

That's right people. I have nothing on the wall space in my kitchen. I have always been very hesitant to put any art of any kind in the kitchen. It's because I'm afraid that the pieces will be ruined in some way-- humidity, steam, grease- cooking areas are filled with vapors of all kinds!
I am trying to get past these fears. I saw a pic on apartment therapy and I feel like I can maybe try to hang a piece at a time- but possibly further away from the stove...

I found this shop called Beehive Kitchenware on Poppytalk Handmade. I love it all. I have a thing for birds- and silver. So this is right up my alley.
